Description
Winery Notes:
Among the most beautiful climates in Pommard, “Les Rugiens” is divided into two parts, with the one acquired by the Domaine in 2007 located in the Rugiens Hauts, the most prestigious. This very steep plot, facing east and south-east, offers a mainly calcareous soil. Pommard, like Nuits, does not have any Grands Crus. Nevertheless, the Rugiens, alongside the Grands Epenots and the Clos des Epenots, are considered to be the best climats in the appellation. This wine embodies elegance and class, with exceptional ageing potential.
TASTING
On the nose and on the palate, this wine offers a nice balance between aromas of black fruits and spices, with subtle woody and smoky notes. On the palate, it reveals all its power thanks to the increased presence of tannins, enveloped in a structure and a pleasant aromatic persistence.
